Boat Test Notes
Concept
Create a top-of-the-line pontoon boat that's improved over past years' models and can compete with any pontoon boat on the water.
Construction
-Seat bases are molded polyethylene, tubes are 25' long, 25" diameter aluminum, and have lifting strakes and steps.
-Decking is pressure-treated ply, which comes with a no-rot guarantee. Our test boat also had an under-deck skin.
-Full-length M-brackets attach the pontoon tubes to the cross-members.
-Lounges are insanely plush and comfortable. Stretch out on one, and you WILL want to nap.
Performance
-With a Mercury Verado 300 HP outboard engine, we came close to 50 MPH at top-end.
-Cruising speeds are in the mid 30's.
Handling
-Fast acceleration and sharp turning ability make the boat feel sporty—this pontoon is a joy to run.
